  • Standard rates for rentals are:

    Senior Centre Members Events- $200/day

    Non-Members Events - $300/day

    Senior Centre Members Celebration of Life - $150

    Non-Members Celebration of Life - $250

    Hourly Rental Rate - $75/hour

  • Included with all rentals:

    Kitchen and appliance use

    Plates, cutlery, mugs, etc

    Internet

    Rectangle tables

    Chairs (black colour only)

    Large television with HDMI access

    **please note that tablecloths are NOT included in your rental

    **round tables are available for rent if arranged in advance for a cost of $8/table

  • The seated capacity of the Seniors Drop-In Centre is 100 people. For ease of movement, we recommend trying to keep attendee number, if seated, around 85 people.

    The room measures approximately 40×40 feet.

    The facility is universally accessible with automatic door openers inside and out, wide doorways, sensory appropriate door / wall colour contrasts and exit signs.

  • Limited Liability Insurance is required for all rentals in the amount of $5mil. The City of Fernie and the Senior Citizens Club of Fernie & District named as Additionally Insured.

    You are responsible for obtaining your own Special Events License for your event from the Government of BC and the BC Services Card app. This is a requirement only if there is alcohol at your event.

  • The Seniors Drop-In Centre does offer basic catering for Celebration of Life and daytime workshops.

    Celebration of Life catering starts at $10.50/person and includes basic beverages (coffee, tea, juice, water), selection of sandwiches, pickles, and squares.

    In addition, catering is available for your daytime hosted events such as workshops and meetings. Prices varies but generally works out to $15.50/person and includes wraps and sandwiches, soup, salads, beverages, and basic desserts.

    We are able to accommodate most dietary restrictions with advnace notice. Please note that we do have gluten, dairy, and nuts in our kitchen space.

    We are also happy to work with you to develop a menu of your choice.
